Lisa da Boit is a dancer and choreographer of Italian origin.
Trained as a gymnast until the age of 17, she began her dance studies in Italy and later at the "Rosella Hightower International Dance Center" in France. She joined the Karin Vyncke company in Brussels, in several projects: "Sugar/Baby/Love", "And yet not without wandering about" and "Vlug stuk". In 2000, she joined the Ex-Nihilo company in the performances "Calle Obrapia", "Passants", "Salida", "Life Path, City Path" which are still in the repertoire worldwide. In 2016 she participated in the "In-Paradise /Paradise in not enough" section.
In 2001 she founded the GIOLISU company, of which she is the artistic director. Lisa has created 9 pieces for the room and 3 pieces for specific sites. "Ultime Exil" was a press favorite and "Il Dolce Domani" won the best dance show for the 2014-15 season by the press.
The main actress in Nathalie André's film 26.4, Lisa is co-creator of the pieces "All Fall Down" and "Coup de Foudre" with Teatro Pachuco.
Lisa holds a doctorate in philosophy from the Cà Foscari University of Venice.
She regularly gives workshops in Europe, Mexico and the United States.
