Ahmed Ayed - Collectif Illicium

Ahmed Ayed is a multidisciplinary artist: director, choreographer, filmmaker, and actor. His work explores imagery, music, dreaminess, and the metamorphoses of the body.

Originally from Sousse, Tunisia, he discovered the stage through dance at a young age before leaving his native country in 2007 to train as an actor at IAD in Belgium. He founded the Illicium Collective and developed unique visual universes with ALICE and RIGOR MORTIS. He also designed the scenography for Michel Bernard's show BEL ABIME.

He returned to dance with LILITH, co-created with Marion Blondeau, and more recently ...AND NOBODY ELSE, a choreographic and musical piece with Palestinian dancer Hamza Damra and Belgian drummer and singer Tim Clijsters.

As an actor, he performs in A Midsummer Night's Dream by the Point Zero company, touring in Belgium and internationally.

He also directed several music videos for Ghoula, Mettani, Ammar 808, Emel Mathlouthi, and Jawhar.

In 2026, he will create Mahla Khyelek/Beautiful Shadows at Brigittines, a choreographic piece exploring the ghosts of our childhood homes and those we carry within us. Through spiritualism, memories, and inheritances, the show questions the memory of places and how they inhabit us.
