About

Wallonie-Bruxelles Théâtre Danse (WBTD) is the public export support agency for theatre, dance, performance, circus, street arts, young audiences, comedy and storytelling productions from the Wallonia-Brussels Federation.

Since 1994, Wallonie-Bruxelles Théâtre Danse (WBTD) has been the public agency supporting the export of theatre, dance, performance, circus, street arts, young audience, comedy and storytelling productions from the Wallonia-Brussels Federation.

Co-funded by the Ministry of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation and Wallonia-Brussels International, its role is to promote and encourage the international distribution of performing arts productions from Wallonia and Brussels.

WBTD's ambition is to be an office providing help, advice and support for professional performing arts companies and artists wishing to develop their activities internationally.

  • welcomes international programmers to Brussels and Wallonia for performances, in partnership with local festivals and venues.
  • organises professional meetings between foreign artists and programmers with a view to identifying co-production opportunities or future programming.
  • organises the biennial dance platform Objectifs Danse in collaboration with Charleroi danse, the choreographic centre of the Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles.
  • provides financial assistance for the production of promotional tools, the production and editing of video recordings of performances, and translation and surtitling to encourage the international distribution of FWB productions.
  • participates as a member of the jury on the financial aid committees set up by Wallonie Bruxelles International (aid for touring, mobility, prospecting, etc.).
