Les Vrais Majors

The Company of True Majors was born in September 2008, under the impetus of Quentin Lemenu and Henry Debay who gathered several young artists from different backgrounds in the heart of the Marolles to create a multidisciplinary show together.

It all started with the desire to invent a new popular folklore like the Gilles de Binche, the walkers of Ste Rolende or the majorettes.

During the first meetings, they shared their influences, their universe that ranges from Monty Python to Mary Poppins, quite quickly certain things were decided: they would dress as Napoleonic soldiers, wear mustaches and give beauty in all its forms. The first choreographic marching band was born.

Perhaps because the company was born in a popular neighborhood, it has always been important for them to offer an easily accessible show, with multiple levels of reading, to be able to offer their show to people who are not necessarily accustomed to theaters.

They are currently in the early stages of creation for the next show which should be released in spring 2022, titled (provisional title) "Festival or the parable of the elephant".
