Inti Théâtre
Disciplines
Since its creation by Didier Poiteaux and Pierre-Paul Constant, the INTI Theatre company has been dedicated to children's theatre. By combining creation and mediation, it defines its projects and through this means finds the full meaning of its activities.
The first show combining creation and mediation is Schlic de Schlac created in 2010, it addresses contemporary poetry and is intended for children from 8 years old.
Continuing the work on authors' texts, Kant/ On the Edge of Sleep by Jon Fosse. was created in 2013.
Continuing its reflection, the artistic journey of the company takes a turn from 2013 by developing projects that combine the documentary aspect, life story, in direct contact with reality, with a dramatic writing both poetic and narrated. In 2016, this artistic turn led to the creation of Suzy and Franck which received a Press Favorite at Huy; the text receives the SACD Young Audience Theatre Prize in November of the same year as well as the Public Utility Label for 2018 and 2019.
In March 2019, it created An Ordinary Silence, which continues this process of narrative theatre, aimed at teenagers and questioning alcohol, alcoholism and the taboo they generate.
Today it also develops an exploration of the world of early childhood and will create in August 2020 Ballon bandit: a dance theatre show for all audiences from 2 years old.
