Doble Mandoble
Disciplines
Doble Mandoble is a circus and new magic company supported by the Wallonia-Brussels Federation. Founded in 2007 by twin brothers Luis Javier and Miguel Ángel Córdoba, trained at the Superior School of Circus Arts (ESAC) in Brussels, the company has established itself as one of the pioneers of new magic in Belgium. In 2018, magician, playwright and director Andrea Fidelio, trained at CNAC in new magic under the direction of Raphaël Navarro, joined the company, bringing a new creative dynamic.
The synergy between these three artists has given birth to a series of innovative shows, all deeply rooted in the world of new magic.
The company merges circus, magic, physical theatre, object manipulation and digital arts to create a multidisciplinary language that provokes reflection on themes that are dear to them.
Doble Mandoble's repertoire ranges from street and indoor shows to cabaret numbers, lectures and workshops. The company, expert in magic and acrobatics, creates visual and theatrical performances marked by humor. Their first act, The Untamed Rings, was a clownish performance.
In 2009, with Mi otro yo, they blend magic, circus and object manipulation in a burlesque and poetic universe, an approach continued with La Belle Escabelle (2011) and FullHD (2015).
In 2020, the company launched The Dinner, a multidisciplinary show with five actors. The following year, their new magic act Sweet Home won the First Prize at the European Magic Championship FISM, followed by the second prize at the World Magic Championship FISM (2022).
In 2022, they created The Magic Tent and The Legend of Kulkatan, a street show under a big top.
Their next project, Hero for One Day, will be launched in spring 2025.
