Théâtre de l'E.V.N.I.
Disciplines
In 2012, Fujio Ishimaru surrounded himself with young dancers with the desire to explore movement, in a perhaps more abstract, less narrative direction.
Since then, the theater of E.V.N.I. is articulated in a process of research and collective creation. The mix of personalities, backgrounds, and disciplines of the company members leads them to seek an original language, at the crossroads of their personal universes.
"We need to develop a choreographic language in the young audience sector. It's a contemporary language. Today we no longer tell stories with classical methods. Theater is no longer just about telling stories so that children understand. The world and society have changed a lot. Education has changed, school has changed. And we need to make different shows for these changed children. In dance, "understanding" is more sensitive.
Can we understand dance? In fact, understanding is also seeing.
I timidly try to see and therefore perhaps to understand."
