Le Corridor
Disciplines
The corridor, since its inception in 2004, envisions the living art project as a subject to think about and to construct other ways of seeing, of engaging, of weaving connections. It uses the strategy of the counterpoint to place the viewer in a joyful discomfort that allows them to think freely:
- moving away from anthropocentrism that opposes worlds
- distancing from the tyranny of reality that prevents us from dreaming (and therefore from creating and taking control of our destiny) by giving importance to stories
- detaching from the urgency of the news to stop and think
- encouraging situations of collective intelligence
In this perspective, a living art work can lead to a meeting after the performance, a philosophical workshop, a conference, a library activity, an edition or trainings. The idea highlighted through these approaches is to create living projects unfolding in different formats: from large scale to lighter and autonomous forms, adaptable to different places and thus, allowing to meet the audience differently.
For all these reasons, the corridor, a performance factory, is also a publishing house, a place for artist residencies, a platform for audience encounters and, occasionally, a venue for small-scale performances.
