Théâtre du Papyrus
Disciplines
Rose Hansé and Bernard Chemin founded the Papyrus Theatre in 1989. The story of the company began years earlier when they made a name for themselves in the Young Audience sector of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation by participating in numerous "young audience" shows produced for other companies. The Isocèle Theatre (Under the Pillow, Namcouticouti), the Galafronie Theatre (The Journey of the Little Piece, Along the Water, Noah's Ark, Toad Soup, Cactus) and the Casquette Company (The Black Ladies, The Ferryman).
After fifteen years of collaboration on numerous projects, they felt the desire and need to found their own theatre troupe, in order to create with a continuity of intention and to develop their common universe.
The creation of the company is the culmination of a passion for theatre and for childhood; a long fight for access to culture from the earliest age.
Their shows:
- But I am a bear
- The little people of the mist
- Hulul
- Valentine Mouse
- Haiku
- The stone child
- A pair of friends
- The chatterbox
- The little shadow
- Mirror
- The island of pencils
