We have chosen street theater because, in our opinion, it is in this form that theater best fulfills its social role, a role which we believe is paramount. Developing theater in the street is to give it a heart and soul; it's about turning public places into spaces conducive to exchanges and encounters, rather than impersonal passageways. Viewed in an artistic context, the street is for us a vast field of experiences, with inexhaustible resources, offering a dazzling palette of multiple choices for creation without taboos or prohibitions.
However, the heterogeneity of the audience (from young children to the elderly, across all social classes) requires from the artist a deep sense of respect for each individual's sensitivity. This might be the only parameter we really need to consider, but it is a formidable challenge in terms of creation. We have always chosen our subjects by drawing from the rich array of choices offered by Nature: out of taste, out of ecological conviction...
We usually transcribe these themes into contexts of wonderful tales, fairy-like images, fantastic characters... as if our intention was to create, through our performances, bridges between our real and harsh adult world, and the world of childhood where everything is still possible.
We work on our style so that it becomes as personal as possible. We work in a visual and musical dynamic: in the street, it's effective and thus we reach a multilingual and multicultural audience. Our techniques, we borrow them from dance, music, circus (juggling, unicycle, especially at our beginnings), stilts, puppets, cardboard dolls, wooden dolls, rag dolls or recycled objects, casually! With each new performance, new desires, and to satisfy these desires
