The Liars is a company that operates in the field of live arts.

It was created in 2015 under the impetus of Sarah Devaux and Célia Casagrande-Pouchet upon graduating from ESAC (higher school of circus arts). Its intention is to update and shape what moves us, agitates us, worries us and sets us in motion: our unconscious, our fantasies, our thoughts, what does not (yet) have a word, what does not (yet) have a form. What rumbles underground. What we capture but do not see. What exceeds us, does not belong to us, but still passes through us.

There is a joyful necessity to bring to life and liberate an underground existence, to expose the multiple and infinite layers of reality, to push the walls of it, to investigate the multiple textures that constitute it.

Although the suspended body remains one of the essential stage languages for their creations, the question of the circus apparatus seems to be moving away today to make way for a scenography particular to the project, but also for a body that can express all its poetic potential in an attempt, whatever the way, to make visible an invisible.

Dresse le portrait d'une insomniaque en maillot de bain et de son malicieux partenaire, qui l'accompagne dans son errance nocturne, tour à tour maître-nageur, agent d'entretien ou confident à ses heures perdues. Entre rêves et éclats de vie, ce duo d'intranquilles sonde tous les potentiels physiques et narratifs, en suspens au-dessus de ce vide qui les appelle, dans cet éclair de pur présent où peur et désir vont tout à coup ensemble.
